I luv ice cream! Sometimes I buy it. Sometimes I make it.
Today, I’m making it…. an easy, no churn, dairy fee, bittersweet chocolate ice cream. Gelato, actually. A playful adult taste that satisfies my inner child. Can life get any better?
Gelato vs Ice Cream
Gelato has less milk fat than ice cream. It’s churned slowly (or in this case not at all) so it’s denser than ice cream but both are ice cream to me.
I went to the grocery store yesterday to buy ice cream and was shocked by the prices. How did ice cream prices ever get so high? I can easily make ice cream cheaper (better, too!) and, since this recipe is no churn, I don’t need to buy an (expensive) ice cream churner or spend much time in the kitchen.
No Churn, Dairy Free Bittersweet Chocolate Gelato
This tastes like ice cream. Expensive ice cream. But it isn’t really “ice cream” because there’s no cream in it. Not even any milk. How can this be?
