Q.  I need to lose weight but there are so many diets out there.  Which one is best?

 

A.  None of them!

Believe it or not, losing weight is easy and, unless your doctor has advised otherwise, you don't need a special diet.  Just eat a little better, eat a little less and move a little more. 

1.  Eat a little better 

Breakfast is a good place to start.  If your breakfast is typically a bowl of sugar coated cereal, eating a little better could mean filling your bowl halfway with your favorite sugar coated cereal then topping it off with a low sugar cereal.  Easy!  Or it might mean switching from your sugar coated cereal to an unsugared one and then just sprinkling it with a teaspoon of sugar to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Or it might mean ditching packaged breakfast cereals all together for a cooked grain like oatmeal, brown rice or buckwheat grouts.  The point is that eating better does not have to be a drastic change.........
